BEACH BOYS

The Beach Boys is an American pop-rock band formed in 1961 in Hawthorne, California and became very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. It is one of the few American bands to have been able to compete musically with the British bands of the same period, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones or Pink Floyd. Originally affiliated with surf music, the band distinguished itself above all by its songs with complex and very melodic vocal harmonies.

Very popular in the United States at the beginning of the 1960s, the Beach Boys began to decline at the end of that decade, mainly due to the precarious mental health of Brian Wilson, the composer of most of the band's hits.
